Can I cancel, change or update an order after it’s been confirmed?

Cancellations, additions and alterations for orders must be made at least 2 business days in advance of the scheduled delivery time. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations.

I need a cake last minute, what are my options?

HoneyFlour BakeShop considers all orders and can execute smaller custom orders with 1 weeks’ notice. We may be able to execute an order with 72 hours notice however, these orders may incur expedite fees. For larger event orders, please initiate order at least 3-4 weeks notice.

How can I store the baked goods I ordered?

Because our cakes are made with small batch buttercreams made with real butter, they’re best served at room temperature. If you plan to serve your cake the same day, please do not chill it. Keep it in a cool, safe location, out of direct sunlight. If you’re serving your cake the next day or later, please refrigerate your cake overnight, and then pull it out 2-3 hours before serving.

My event has been postponed, what about my cake order?

If your event is postponed and we have not yet begun the cake order, we will simply change the delivery date. If your event is postponed and we have completed the cake order we will make accommodations on a case-by-case basis.

  • Depending on the rescheduled date, we may be able to preserve the cake.

  • Depending on the details of the order, we may be able to issue a partial refund.

My event has been canceled, what about my cake order?

If your event is canceled and we have not yet begun the cake order, we will provide you with a partial refund or full store credit for any other recipes - excluding the non-refundable deposit. If your event is canceled and we have begun the cake order, we may issue a partial refund - excluding the non-refundable deposit.

What happens if there is a discrepancy with the baking or recipe of my order?

Please report all issues and concerns to honeyflourcoordinator@gmail.com. We ask that you do not discard the product, please preserve it until we are able to arrange pick up and conduct inspection on the product. We will then correct the order at no additional cost. Part of our commitment to your satisfaction is considering refunds and store credit on orders but they are decided on a case-by-case basis.

What happens if the flavor or texture isn’t what I expected?

We are unable to issue refunds in situations where the order was baked and decorated as requested and discussed and the baker adhered to the recipe, but the flavor or texture didn’t meet persona expectations. Nonetheless, if there are any issues or concerns with any order, please let us know immediately. All issues and concerns must be communicated within 24 hours of the delivery or pick up of your order.

Are orders placed for pick up or delivery?

HoneyFlour BakeShop offers delivery depending on your location. All orders with a delivery address within a 5-10 mile radius will incur a delivery fee of $20. Any orders with a delivery address outside of the 10 mile radius will incur a $10 addition to the delivery fee.
In the event you are picking up your own cake, we recommend the following for transportation: 

  • Carry your cake with both hands underneath the box.

  • Keep in a safe location and out of direct sunlight

  • Place all cakes on a flat area of a van, SUV, or floorboard of your vehicle with air conditioning flowing around the cake, with a non-slip mat beneath the cake box to prevent sliding.

What happens if I miss my delivery?

If you miss the delivery for your order, we will not issue a refund. If you miss the delivery but want to reschedule, you will be required to pay for the second order, as we cannot resell special orders.

What if my order is messed up after pick up or delivery?

In the event that anything happens to the baked goods after hand off, we will work with you but it may come at an additional cost. This is circumstantial and also on a case-by-case basis, as HoneyFlour BakeShop is not responsible for the baked goods after hand off.

Am I able to exchange any baked goods?

No exchanges for perishable baked goods whatsoever.

Are orders available for shipping?

No, not at this time.

Can I order vegan or gluten-free baked goods?

Yes. Please consider price increase for requesting gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free and vegan baked goods.
